回答: I worked on such a switch everyday ! 由 deadmeat 于 2006-2-21, 15:04:47:

to have access to the maintainence terminal to change anything. How are you gonna access the terminal? If you worked on switch, you may or may not know how much effort is needed to implement the call tracing required by the law, which allows the mobil management system to get the position of certain callers throught triangulation. In either cases, even send call release signal, you need to access the MM database. When the switch is delivered to the field, even the engineers don't have to the access to the database, only the operators have access to that. How are you gonna send a call release signal, or trace call? while you have no access to the maintainence terminal? You can even get into the operators intranet. A system tester may have access to the product and do all kinds of stuffs, like playing with calls. But once it is on the field, you lost the connection to the machine. How do you know what number you need to trace, to play around with?
