it seems there lacks interest in perusing this direction from two major stake holders.
The oversea scholars who returned to China are not eager to expose Xiao (as their fellow HaiGui's), even if they know that this may be unethical even illegal. Those scholars do know the US system and rules of game, but their vested interests may be different when returned to China.
The oversea Chinese scholars in US seem not to care so much of so called human rights of the ordinary Chinese peoples/patients, partly because it doesn't matter much for their personal lives and professional careers (as typical for Chinese scholars, if you know what I mean).
That said, the momentum could change now given what happened recently to Xiao recently, especially in view of his career competitors (Phd-MD's in US and China).
