necessarily always right. Profiling based on identity of a social group including ethnic group is unfortunately often a cost efficient way of doing business. Now what about the store owner paying moe attention to male shoppers if the statistics shows most of shopliftings are conducted by man? The store owner runs a small business he can't afford a guard to watch every shopper so what can he do?

Equality comes with a price and are you willing to pay for such price. Another example is government uses racial profiling at border and airports, can you simply call that racism? If you think it's racism then government should collect more tax so they can have more resources to screen everyone in an equal manner without slowing down the traffic to an unacceptable level. But are citizens like yourself willing to pay more tax to make it happen?
