I seriously doubt that 老虎粪 will scare away dogs too.

If it were true, the dogs must have obtained that "scared" gene from their ancestors -wolves. But I am not sure how wolves are really afraid of tigers, I think that tigers are equally afraid of wolves too (wolves appear in a group that can outnumber fight with tigers (who are usually alone).
