so is a RAP. There is no direct way for a postdoc becoming a faculty, so is a RAP. In my field, a
young postdoc can become a junior faculty easier than a RAP because postdoc is usualy young and considered more creative.
Therefore, a PAP is essentially a postdoc and even harder to become a junior faculty. I know three RAPs stayed on this position for at least 10 years and werelaid off when their boss retired. They are pity.
