Too many to list completely, so I will just list a few:
1) 饶毅 presumes that overseas Chinese interests are actually aligned with China. When WTO quota on textile expired, many who lost jobs here in the U.S. are actually Chinese immigrants, working in Bay Area or N.Y. factories. Many Chinese technical workers here are also directly competing with those in the China.
2) 饶毅 presumes overseas Chinese all marry Chinese. What about kids with mixed heritage? Do they also need to fight for their rights by appealing to ethinicity? Indeed the cases he mentioned can all be dealt with by appealing to the sense of fairness of people, without having to base it on ethnicity. And if there is a racial component involved, the legal system is often a better choice. Suing the schools for racial discrimintation (if one has evidence) should bring enough pressure for the schools to settle.
3) 饶毅 presumes those who don't praise CG are necessarily under the political pressure of the host countries.Has he thought that people could believe that CG is the biggest problem people in China face?

I don't disagree that there is racial pressure in the U.S., even in the most open states/cities and racially diverse schools/companies. I think he is right that people should stand up for their own rights. But this applies to anyone (Chinese or not) and you don't have to do it by appealing to ethnicity.
