only a wish, like yours.

As China deepens its industrialization, it becomes unacceptable for Chinese to let US control or have dominant influence to key links of the supply chain of China's industry complex: energy, raw material and market. Even people in both countries don't want a war, corporations in both countries will push for it. And people will eventually fall for it. Grassroots are suckers they can always be fooled as long as their information source is controlled by corporations, no matter where they live.

I say possible war is not goign to be about territory but will serve as a strong message to both people: if both countries don't treat each other with respect and learn to compromise there will be disarster. Given the political atmostphere in US and in China today, I can't see there is anyway a millitary conflict of limited scale can be avoided.

After all, if being executed correctly, a small hot war without a clear winner will lead to negotiation based on true mutual respect(which does not really exit today). Therefore it probably is a more cost effective solution to startegic conflict between the two countries than a long lasting cold war.
