ABSTRACT
Urodynamic studies in these cases revealed a change from detrusor hyperreflexia with detrusor external sphincter dyssynergia and high detrusor pressure to
nearly normal storage and synergic voiding.
RESULTS
Of the 20 patients 17 (85%) gained acceptable bladder storage and emptying functions. These children were
able to initiate voiding spontaneously and regained continence as early as postoperative month 6.
