Go check the fact before saying Unicom is a monopoly. There are 300 million active mobile accounts in China. Ever wondering how are the other 200 million users served?
Verizon is in a typical oligopoly, not very far from Chinese market. The profitability of a firm very much depends on business enviroment. It is very normal for a company that is undergoing rapid expansion not to make profit, but I'm sure you won't understand that.
BTW, I think your biggest problem is you don't know where your butt is when you talk. You can't speak like a investor (to little profit blah blah) and speak as a customer (too much profit blah blah) at the same time. It the same as you can't speak and behave like an American while in the same time talk about anything Chinese like your own affair don't you understand?
