原题:MIT历史系在推卸责任,抹黑中国留学生,要有理有据地反击他

Somebody made snapshots of some of the controversial webpages here:

Professor John Dower is backed up by his former recruiter Professor Peter C. Perdue, who regards himself as an expert of East Asia (including China) study. In his response letter (http://web.mit.edu/history/Open%20Letter%20to%20Chinese%20Students%20at% 20MIT.pdf), Professor Perdue made several severe accusations against Chinese students, for example, "This is not a case of unintentional insensitivity, but of deliberate misrepresentation." Given his standing, I believe that it is his duty to explain what Professor John Dower wrote in his controversial articles. Professor John Dower appeared to be an aficionado of the propagantistic art he selected. Professor John Dower wrote the following sentence as his conclusive statement: "When all was said and done, what they visualized was beautiful, heroic modern war." There is no misrepresentation here, as any Chinese student accuser can read the recorded article and verify if this conclusion is from the deep heart of Professor John Dower.

"Beautiful, heroic modern war"? What kind of person will issue such a crazy statement?

I want to know whether Professor John Dower's supporters, including Professor Peter C. Perdue, agree to this conclusion made by Professor Dower. And if yes, are they willing to go to such a beautiful, heroic modern war by themselves?
