This is what makes the monkey choose such an "irratioal" choice rationally. DP is just a tool to investigate this mechanism analytically.

DP does worked outside the economists lab, and to start with, in...rocket scientists' lab.

But I agree for decision making of human being, DP is indeed weak due to our lack of computational power.
