Same experiment, different results: others' data showed upregulation, mine showed downregulation; and I repeated the experiment several times, however, I won't accuse others of falsifying,who knows how many factors can affect the experiment: different FBS used? something related with cell line changed? or...... Sometimes, I really doubt there is a superman called "GOD".
Another example: three papers denied the results which showed one SNP related with asthma in Japanese population (paper from NIH), even including one from the Japanese researcher, but nobody accused of the first paper as "fraud".
I gave out such examples because I found Si is really a sucker, not mentioning so many mistakes of his immunology knowledge. He opened his big mouth before he accused Wei.
At the same time, although I can point out the questionable problems of Si's paper, I couldn't find the problems in Wei's papers, this is not normal either. Probably Wei made them up intentiously. So we should invite experts around the world to judge Wei's work, someone should know where the weakpoints are in Wei's papers and decide which key part need to be repeated. Only through such method, we can conclude if Wei fabricated data or not.
