Remember, rocket engines are not jet engines. Jet engines are cooled with the inhaled air. There is no such thing for rocket engine. If you take sharp angle reentry and uses engine plus aerobreak, the breaking force will be toooo big, and it may kill the people inside if not disintegrate the vehicle totally.
