chip development cycle (roughly)
Idea--> specification --> RTL --> FPGA emulation -->
P&R --> GDS II --> masks --> manufacturing --> packaging --> final testing --> market
From Idea to GDS II were done by Chen's team.
The following 3 or 4 steps were done by other companies.
The fact that Chen's used Motorrola chips for the demos
does not mean Chen's team did not dothe above steps.
It just suggests Chen's chip did not meet its specification at the demo time. And Chen cheated on this. This fact is NOT enough o say the entire project is a fake one.
None can 罩着 is the entire project is a fake one.
to me, Chen's team is Very close to their goal
and they should get continue support from the local
and central government and JiaoDa.
It would be a real waste of money is the project is aborted now.
