however, it couldn't have done it while turning. My interpretation is L-2 was on the tail of the last F-86, then the first one turn around and chase L-2. It is quite safe to assume that the first F-86 tried to tailgate the L-2, for that was the best tactical position, and L-2's short turn could make the F-86 overshoot as indicated in the article, therefore the L-2 would have flew an arc. That position made it impossible to shoot the F-86 in front of it.
