Don't know very much about 程序员, but I can see HuZi and may be yourself probably don't know much about positions beyond those related to product development. In company like IBM, only a very small percentage of employee base is in this categogy. The majority of the company's business is not from product development anyway. The jobs that generate most of the value are on the business side, such as marketing & sales, business development, business process design and migration, HR and professional training, global logistics, IT infrastructure(I found a lot of LiKe people still consider IT an egineering issue) and finance&accounting etc etc...These are teh areas where big cow contract employees are making tons of money...you just don't hear much about them.
