学校续聘长江学者陈建二教授

4月26日,长江学者陈建二教授工作总结汇报会暨续聘签约仪式在生物楼三楼报告厅举行。校长黄伯云、副校长黄健柏、校长助理陈晓红及学校有关职能部门领导、信息科学与工程学院负责人及师生代表近100人出席仪式。
黄健柏副校长主持仪式。黄伯云校长与陈建二教授在续聘协议书上签字。陈建二教授在仪式上做了个人工作总结汇报,并畅谈了今后的工作设想。信息科学与工程学院院长桂卫华代表学院总结了陈建二教授聘期内的工作情况,并对其高尚的人品、扎实的专业素养和突出的科研能力等给予了高度评价。黄伯云校长称赞陈建二教授是校友中的优秀楷模和特聘教授中的典范,要求信息科学与工程学院充分利用优秀人才在国外的影响,促进学校相关学科与国外的接轨,并积累经验,创造我校计算机学科的辉煌。
陈建二教授于1981年考入我校,毕业后入美国纽约大学和哥伦比亚大学深造,获计算机与数学博士双学位,现留美工作,其研究方向为计算机理论与方法、生物计算、计算机网络和计算机图形学。2000年,陈建二被聘为我校长江学者特聘教授,五年中不辱使命,教学、科研和学科建设等工作均取得可喜成绩,在国际刊物上以中南大学为第一作者单位发表论文10篇、国际会议发表论文42篇、国内刊物上发表论文85篇,其中SCI收录22篇、EI收录48篇、ISTP收录28篇,他引126次。此外,加强科研团队建设,带领团队积极参加国内外学术交流,扩大我校计算机在国内外的影响,产生了一批研究成果,获得包括国家自然科学基金、国家863项目、省自然科学基金、教育部课题、横向课题26项,发表论文118篇,其中SCI收录12篇、EI收录20篇、ISTP收录11篇。
