U) X-Accept-Language: en,zh-CN,zh-TW MIME-Version: 1.0 To: New Thread , Sun Rise Subject: XYS-EDITORS: The Chinese Don Quixote Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit Sender: owner-editors@xys.org Precedence: bulk 阿Q正传有多好 作者：吴咸 四月四日（2000年）新语丝电子文库上，登了一篇新闻，题为 [鲁迅缘何成了现代学生公敌？]。作者为杨程同志。据他所 发表的统计，全国有85%的中学生，不喜欢鲁迅的东西。如再调 查剩下的15%，不记名投票，也许可以发现，不喜欢鲁迅的学生， 可能会接近100%。这个反鲁现象，我想，值得我们再探讨探讨。 鲁迅作品中，最优秀的一篇为阿Q正传。我们且集中力量，单单来 探讨这篇东西。 此书一开始，鲁迅花了好大功夫，考证阿Q的名字，考证书的名字。 但全篇故事，和人名书名毫不相干。就算不考证，随便叫个阿猫阿 狗，故事仍可照样进行。这种无病呻吟，显然是个大败笔。要是旁 的文学作品犯了此种错误，老早被人指为[练门]。而由于执政党推崇 鲁迅，却没人敢来太岁头上动土。 鲁迅一方面说，书名不能叫[外传]，因为并无人写过阿Q的[内传]。东 选西选，最後鲁迅选上这[正传]。我们却要问，阿Q既无[歪传]，又怎 能有[正传]呢？我第一次读这本书，还在初中。我幼小的心灵就觉得， 种种考证，相当无聊。读鲁迅的东西，简直浪费时间。 考证完了人名书名，鲁迅开始描写阿Q的心理，他有这样一句： [譬如用三尺三寸宽的木板做的凳子]。 以阿Q的文化，他怎么会去注意凳子的[宽]度？而且还精细到三尺 三寸，多一寸少一寸都不行。又注意到凳子的材料，好似说，阿 Q心中还有铁凳子铜凳子。而尤其这[宽]字值得我们挑剔。要上 下文连贯，阿Q只能想到[长]，想到[三尺三寸长的木板凳]。说甚 么，他也不会想这[宽]字。[长]，才是阿Q心中交战的问题。此种错 字要是出在旁人书中，他还有活命么？出在鲁迅书中，不但有命， 还长生不老。怎能服人？ 我们提到家俱时，总是说[铁锅，布衣，木凳，竹椅]等等。鲁迅 为甚麽要说[用木板做的凳子]？这种语文，我不相信值得学生模仿。 这一句[凳子]文字，乃来自下面一段： [。。。加以进了几回城，阿Ｑ自然更自负，然而他又很鄙薄城里人。 譬如用三尺三寸宽的木板做成的凳子，未庄人叫长凳，他也叫长凳， 城里人却叫条凳，他想：这是错的，可笑！油煎大头鱼，未庄 都加上半寸长的葱叶，城里却加上切细的葱丝，他想：这也是错的， 可笑！然而未庄人真是不见世面的可笑的乡下人呵，他们没有见过城 里的煎鱼！] 学生们报怨鲁迅的文字深奥难懂。这几句又是好榜样。 阿Q自负，觉得骄傲，乃对未庄人而言。鲁迅给的理由乃是：阿Q进 过城，见过大市面。这大市面乃是煎鱼配葱丝。从此，阿Q结论道： [未庄人真是不见世面的可笑的乡下人呵，他们没有见过城里的煎鱼。] 那么，阿Q鄙薄的对像，乃是乡下人，未庄人，并不是城里人。 可是，在那段文字中，又夹杂着相反的叙述，说阿Q也鄙薄城里人。鲁 迅给的理由乃是：城里人把凳子叫错了(长叫成条)，煎鱼头配葱丝配错 了(应配葱叶)。也即是说，由于葱丝，阿Q看不起未庄人。又由于错用葱 丝，阿Q也看不起城里人。这种逻辑，幼年学子怎麽能懂？ 又从葱叶葱丝，我们还可说，鲁迅根本没甚想像力。鲁迅要是说，城里人 的鱼配葱头，乡下人的鱼配葱叶，我也服他有几分文才，知道用葱头葱叶 代表阿Q的贵贱眼光。要知，葱丝如由葱叶切成，仍然是葱叶。 阿Q睹钱，常常输。好不容易，要转运了。转运之前，鲁迅先写下予言道： [但真所谓“塞翁失马安知非福”罢，阿Ｑ不幸而赢了一回，他倒几 乎失败了]。 我们看不出，这三句话之间，有何联贯性。它们极像李洪志的经文。尤 其[塞翁失马安知非福]这成语，我们相信，鲁迅并没用对。阿Q睹钱常常输， 偶然才嬴一次。这种现像，我们相信叫[物极必反]，而不是失马得福。塞翁 并未常常失马。我们又知，阿Q仅嬴的一次，嬴的钱又马上被人抢了。在此 时，更不能说阿Q得了甚麽福。只有，尼姑看他输得可怜，突然对阿Q好起 来了。这时，才成失马得福，睹场失意，情场得意。说文学泰斗不会用典 故，有谁能信？ 在第四章中，鲁迅说： [即此一端，我们便可以知道女人是害人的东西。中国的男人， 本来大半都可以做圣贤，可惜全被女人毁掉了。商是妲己闹亡 的；周是褒姒弄坏的；秦。。。。。。虽然史无明文，我们也 假定他因为女人，大约未必十分错；而董卓可是的确给貂蝉害 死了]。 请看他文中[圣贤]二字。这二字和商周秦的末代亡国帝王毫无干系， 和董卓更差得远。那麽，这[圣贤]二字说明，鲁迅又错用典故。常 犯这种错的人，怎能拥为文学泰斗？（评论家在书的末尾注明，这 段话乃鲁迅本人站出来对读者说的。） 此外，还有咬口问题。前面两句是：[商是妲己闹亡的；周是褒 姒弄坏的]，都以[的]字结尾。而最後一句却以[了]字结尾： [而董卓可是的确给貂蝉害死了]。当学子们读到这[了]字，他们 有啥感想呢？ 阿Q饿了出外找东西吃，跑了老大一段路(走完未庄)，又爬墙，才找到 菜园。这种描写，显得鲁迅不明农情。我们相信，乡间菜园各处都 是，阿Q住的祠堂旁边一定就有。要偷菜，绝用不着翻墙越户。鲁迅一 定只见过上海市内墙里菜园，以为郊外菜园也有墙围着。如对乡间有点 认识，如要配合情节，鲁迅应写阿Q去偷尼姑，或去偷看尼姑，因而顺手 牵羊拔几棵萝卜，所有的跑路越墙鸡飞狗叫，才能在情在理。 阿Q刚一进菜园，看见所有蔬菜都老了，最后看上的萝卜，也是老萝卜。 鲁迅为甚麽会用[老]字来形容阿Q偷的萝卜？古人常常为了一字之别，而 定艺术的高下。鲁迅文学艺术要不朽，要拿来做我们学习榜样，怎可弄错 大有关键的字。我希望，鲁学专家，能把这[老]字，替我们注释注释。 阿Q出外求食（求食二字乃鲁迅原文），那时正当春末，因为鲁曾形容那 天的天气，说：[有一日很温和，微风拂拂的颇有些夏意了，阿Ｑ却觉得 寒冷起来]。既是这样季节，我们不相信所有的蔬菜会老。尤其是，阿Q正 当饥饿，一定饥不择食，看见土中萝卜，不管生熟，立刻开拔。那有心情 去管老嫩。萝卜以及其他疏菜会不会在春末夏初熟得发老，那只有天知道。 阿Q偷到萝卜时，已立刻被尼姑发现。这时，鲁迅说阿Q拧去萝卜支叶， 用衣襟兜着萝卜越墙逃走。小偷竟有时间来打整赃物，已是一奇。鲁迅 还忘了，阿Q起初越墙进菜园时，他须攀着树枝才能越过。这时要翻越 出墙，阿Q却一手提着衣襟，只有一支手空着，怎能翻墙？足见鲁迅忘了学 生时代的运动经验，也许自己小时候没爬过树，没翻过墙。要合情合理， 一定要写，阿Q慌慌张张，先把萝卜甩出墙外，越过墙后再去检萝卜。 就算一切平安无事，阿Q可以优哉游哉慢慢爬墙，他也绝不会去管萝卜的 支叶。萝卜一定要连支带叶，才便於空手携带。鲁迅一生，一定去菜市场 无数次。绝不会不懂如何携带萝卜。何况阿Q一共才拔了四棵萝卜，用手 提着更比用衣襟兜着方便得多。读者如有攀树经验，一定知道，一手提 着萝卜，也可双手攀援。 这种攀树爬墙琐事，鲁迅自己用不着有亲身经验，只要稍动脑筋，就可 写得似模似样。如果我们读过金庸的笑遨江湖，其中写任盈盈偷盗农人 衣着，那是何等艺术？而鲁迅的，又是何等艺术？ 阿Q正传中，当然还可找出很多问题，我们就不一一列全了。大体而言， 鲁迅的敌人，并不仅仅是幼年学子，也有学界名人。如刘再复，白先勇， 夏志清，夏济安等等。他们呼吁，要把中国五四新文学运动以来写的白 话文，重新估价。他们而且提出，张爱玲的文字，就比鲁迅的好得多。 金庸也呼吁，要恢复中国固有（五四前）优美白话文，要打倒欧式中文。 在我看来，所谓欧式中文，指的正是鲁迅式语文。如：[阿Ｑ也心满意足 的得胜的走了。]这种洋骚味句子，不知害了多少学子。 而且，中小学生，会成大学生，会接躅西方文学。当他们看到西班牙 的Don Quixote(中译唐吉诃德)时，他们一定会想：[鲁迅是否借用了旁人 的东西？]阿Q正传中有两个人以英文命名，一个阿Q，一个小D。天下那 有如此巧事？请注意，小D先前还叫小Don。 阿Q演假英雄，Quixote也演假英雄。如说鲁迅未借用旁人名字，未借用 旁人题材，谁会相信？借用甚么东西，并无不可，鲁迅只消说：[我写 这阿Q正传，受了某某影响。]这样交待，我相信，没人会不谅解。他既 未交待，遂是不告而取。是故，在文格上，在人格上，我不认为鲁迅 足做学生榜样。而政府却强迫学生们去学他。这种政策，令人不解。 更令人不解的，乃是鲁迅专学家们，纷纷把阿Q安在每个中国人身上， 说中国人都有阿Q精神。他们说，这精神乃鲁迅了不起的发现。由是， 鲁迅不但是文学大师，也是思想大师。 我们如分析一下人们心理，可发现，中国没任何人是阿Q。我做学生时， 同学们总笑旁人是阿Q，他绝不承认自己是阿Q。文人们在文章中笑这 人是阿Q，笑那人是阿Q，唯独他自己不是阿Q。既人人不觉得自己是阿Q， 天下何处去找阿Q呢？再从团体看，台湾乃弹玩小地，是个弱者。台湾对 北京政府，表现过阿Q精神吗？赵太爷可以打台湾的耳光吗？国民党强大 时，共产党表现过阿Q精神吗？不但没做阿Q，共产党反而起来反抗，把 赵太爷赶走。这种反抗（历来多得不胜枚举），乃是[士可杀不可辱]的精 神，才是人们普遍拥有的精神，我们绝没阿Q那种畏瞿强权的懦弱精神。 年青学生们起来反鲁迅，更是大大证明。那麽，阿Q正传一书，到底好在 那里呢？ From fang@xys.org Wed May 3 18:30:38 2000 -0700 Status: R X-Status: X-Keywords: Return-Path: Received: from lbmail5.listbot.com ([204.71.191.17]) by xys.xys.org (8.9.3/8.9.3) with SMTP id UAA26773 for ;
