If you use MS Internet Explorer 5.0, you can view Chinese Web pages by simply selecting View ->Encoding -> Simplified Chinese (GB2312), the brower will automatically download the font and set up the configuration for you. ------------------- If you use Windows 95 (or Windows 98), and Netscape 4.0 or MS Internet Explorer 4.0, you can view Chinese Web pages without a Chinese language software. All you need are a set of Chinese font and some simple settings. Simply follow the following instruction:

1. Go to http://www.microsoft.com/msdownload/ieplatform/lang/00000.htm

2. After downloading, click on file ie3lpkcn.exe and follow its instruction.

3. If you use IE 4.0, do nothing. When you see a Chinese page, click View ->Fonts -> select Simplified Chinese

4. If you use Netscape 4.0, click Edit -> Preferences -> Apperance/Font. In the window of "For the Encoding", select Simplified Chinese; In the window of "Variable Width Font" and "Fixed Width Font", select MS Song. When you see a Chinese page, click View ->Encoding -> Simplified Chinese.
