a). The English for USTC is "University of Science and Technology of China", not "University of Science and Technology China". The person who has done this is so stupid. FZZ is from USTC. He knows very well how to spell his alma mater.
b) Xi-an Fanyi University? It must be joking. "Fanyi"???
2. Obviously it is placed in Advertisement area. Then why no telephine number? no http url for the college? Nothing for contact information. Then why is the purpose for this advertisement? Will LA Times is so unprofessional to do such things?
Somebody cut some Chinese English newspaper coverage about this fake news and glued it into LA Times, then used a digital camera to take a shoot to fool simple-minded people.Or They may just print out from computer and glued it to the LA Times. They change the English based on FZZ's correction. However, there are still mistakes.
In a word, they prove they are idiots again and again.
