He got offered AP on 7/1, which was a Sunday, then requested leave on 7/9 to
go to Apple. which means he was in contact with Apple well before the AP
offer and pretty much had already decided to go before that offer.

My guess is he used that AP offer to extract a better deal from Apple. That
's all. So procedurally, he was an AP for two months before his leave
officially started in 9/1/1990. But realistically, he hadn't been an AP for
a single day, since all this time was during Summer vacation.

都已经论证了，1. 他不是副教授。 2， 28岁时更不是最年轻的AP or 副教授。从粉丝
能看出，李开复忽悠的水平，比唐骏强多了。连一帮粉丝也很会无理狡辩。

Don't you people know how to read? I already said he was procedurally an AP
for two months. The key is his AP started on 7/1, and he already sent in
his request for leave on 7/9, to have the leave start on 9/1. The entire
duration was during summer vacation, where an AP didn't have anything to do.
He hadn't done a single day of AP work. So calling himself AP, while
technically correct, was disingenuous.
