as far as I can see, it doesn't save much energy at all. There are still 35-40 hour work per week, most lights are on during the working time.
Yes, people are getting up earlier and have more free time. More free time means more activities, more travel, and more energy spending.
In some way, I have to work longer time during daylight saving schedule. Isn't that ironic?
