I think you will like "do the right thing".
Spike Lee is a native of Brooklyn. He is a blak, small and ugly geek. To some extent, he looks like Woody Aleen, both of them have some "strange point of view" on our world.
Different from Woody, his film is relatively violent, and more dramatic. "Do the right thing" is this kind of film. It talks about a riot against a pizarrea by some black people who was very peaceful and had nothing to do. He played an important role in the film. There is no plot to 美化英雄.
This film is way better than those better clamied ones, like Malcolm X.
