Louis Armstrong was introduced into the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame in the category Early Influence, attributed to the blues root of Rock n' Roll. MJ was introduced in the category performer, same as Elvis Presley, Eric Clapton, Eagles and etc. Btw, Armstrong played trumpet. If Louis Armstrong's music belongs to 广义上的 Rock Music, that you should also count Renaissance music too, since it introduced chords and scales, like Blues to Rock n' Roll.
As for Blues Jazz, I am not sure if you meant Blues, Jazz, Blues Jazz, these are three different things.
As for musical instrumentation, if there is no rules, there will not be music. Rock music has rules, kind of like slang, there are exceptions, but there are definitely rules.
Beat it, you might consider it is not Rock, but there is quit bit difference between your opinion and the main stream music historian, including the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame. You probably don't know Beat It's guitar is by Eddie Van Halen, perhaps you don't even know who he is.
