回答: Do you mean Captain on a destroyer is not the highest ranking officer? 由 寻_正 于 2008-11-13, 08:32:50:
same as Colonel in the Army or Air Force. Captain is also commonly used as the highest ranking officer on a vessel. The commanding officer CO on a destroyer in the US Navy usually is not a Captain, but a commander which is an O-5. Skipper in the US Navy and Marin Corp is the CO of a vessel regardless his rank. The CO of an carrier is usually a captain, but the commander of the battle group is usually a admiral.
