for all those who say china would do much bette rthna india ( say if KMT were in rule now), i cna't help to find the view ironic. on one side these guys paint such a bleak pic on china culture, tradition; but they assumed china could do betteer than india. on what basis? TW benefited lots from japan and american help, especially under jap rule.

HK ( and singapore) from UK rule, and it's such a small area.
