well, most students aboard in early years are using FA.

But, it is fairly common to study aboard with parent's support nowadays. For graduate students, won't be that bad, most get some kind of FA after 1 or 2 terms. what makes more sense in the long run would be a different story, maybe just take over his parent's small business and develop it would be the best.
