Other PLoS journals are highly rated. PLoS ONE is an experiment where papers are mainly reviewed for technical matters, not judged by a few for the importance of their subjects. I like the idea. But it comes with a "diluted" journal. I'll publish there when I no longer care about the BS of impact factors.
