The arrival of Dr. Hong-Wen Deng, Ph.D., internationally recognized leader in osteoporosis research and co-holder of several patents in genetics is being regarded with interest in Kansas City’s health sciences research community. The University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine welcomes Deng, the Franklin D. Dickson/Missouri Endowed Chair in Orthopaedic Surgery. (The chair has a $2.2 million endowment.)
