LEAD: The acquittal of a former automobile worker last Friday in the beating death of a Chinese-American five years ago has outraged Asian-Americans here and elsewhere who viewed the case as emblematic of racial discrimination against Asians in the United States.
The plea bargain was nothing compared to the actual acquittal in the trial! I'm saddened by the few people here who are willing to attack a fellow Chinese in order to defend racism in the US.
