I've done that before, although it was very simple neural network, and it did work. After all, the Fourier series and the result of the functions can be represented by binary system. As I said before, if this world isn't continuum, it can be encoded into binary. Since at the quantum level, everything is discrete, it is unlikely this world is continuum, hence can be encoded by integer, which can be represented in binary.
