and if mortality rate from transportation for each age group in china is 1/2 of that in u.s., and the total mortality rates are at par in both countries, this translates to the fact that chinese are more likely to die than america of another reason than in car accident. malnutrition? bad medical service? ...the picture is even uglier than transportation.
