PR=personal record
chip time = time between you cross start line and fishi line recorded by a computer chip attached to shoes

gun time(aka clock time)= time between the signal of a gun and you cross finish line

Your chip time and gun time will be the same if
you stand right at start line and start off at
hearing the gun shot
