You Spoke and We Listened

The ING Philadelphia Distance Run recently announced two new options for packet / race number pick up. While we formerly required every runner to pick up his or her own race number at the Expo, we decided to offer the following options:
Pick up for others (up to a total of four) at the Expo for a fee of $20 per packet.
Pick up your own number on race morning for a fee of $25. This change is a return to the policy the former race management followed.
Based on the feedback from you – the runners – we realized that the Expo packet pick up option was not in the best interest of the runner. Therefore, we are pleased to announce an updated packet pick up plan.

Packet Pick-Up at the Expo – Runners who visit the expo are now allowed to pick up a race packet (race number, t-shirt and goodie bag) for ONE additional participant. NO FEE WILL BE CHARGED FOR THIS OPTION. The limit of one will be strictly enforced. In order to pick up for another runner, you MUST have their signed confirmation card and a copy of their photo ID.
Packet Pick-up on Race Day – This plan will stay the same. If you choose to pick up your race number the morning of the race, you can do this for a $25 fee. You can pick up for yourself only; friends or relatives cannot do this for you. This service will be limited to 400 runners. You MUST pre-purchase this option online at www.eliteracingstores.com/packets.html
We appreciate your comments and input, and everybody involved with the ING Philadelphia Distance Run hopes the change in policy will help make your race experience the best ever.
