柔韧性 is not a problem until 18/20 years age.
The biggest enemy in gymnastics is height/weight.
Chinese (men) are always short.
The former soviet union gymnasts were about 170-175cm average. So they looked much more beautiful than chinese (Li Ning, Tong Fei, etc.)
