I know Dr. 刘强. He is holding US passport, but returned to China completely after his Postdoc at Harvard. He is a very well respected M.D. Ph.D ( Both his MD and Ph.D. are from UIUC Urbana). He is very interested in research and thus gave up his medical career (he did complete his intern). I do not know what is wrong with him being a outstanding young scholar. In the US, people with Chinese passport, like many professors can also apply for US NIH, NSF funding. What is wrong with that?
Foreign passport or not, does not matter if they work full time in China. Dr. 刘强 is one of them and I respect him for that.
