stuart woods and danielle steele, one writes mystery and suspense, one does romance, but the two share one thing: plain english, no rarely-used words, no sophiscated sentences.
it's good for non-native english speakers. even for people good at english, they can still learn some writing skills.
reading their novels makes me to feel that writes don't need to boast their language skills ( i hate so many like to write in a complex manner) to present exciting and page-turning contents to readers.
