The point is not for someone in power to change mind or change the politics overnight. It doesn't happen automatically. The point is to raise awareness in the public, to change the public opinion. You can't do that with poorly conceived propaganda. People are not that stupid. When your criticism is backed by facts, it forces people to think. Even if it doesn't immediately change people's minds, it opens a crack that makes it easier next time.

When you criticize in the way that you did it, it makes people suspicious of your motives. They see you as irrational and biased, so they won't believe a single word you say.
