Reason #1: 只见树木不见森林。Why are the Chinese discrinated against in the west? What is the ultimate reason that China has been so impoverished for so long? He seemed to dwell on his "victimhood" and was unable to find the reasonale answeres to these questions.

Reason #2: He doesn't understand how the market works in western countries. He disparages those who "毕业后只为自己的柴米油盐关心，只为自己的房子和家庭担心，那是很不应该的事". I'd suggest that he read some books on Adam Smith and learn a few principles in Economics 101.

He may well be a good scientist, but I am not convinced that he'll be a good mentor to his students in China.
