especially their kids are less and less Chinese...My father is always doubting whether they know how to write Chinese at all (my father's uncle isn't very literature himselves, only enough to write back home)--one source of his sentimentalism.
According to my father, the only and last correspondence is his uncle's death, and they don't write too much. Instead, they cut some article from a local Chinese paper (his uncle manage to accumulate some wealth and be a figure in local Chinese community), hence my family knows he is dead.
