In any country, military officers not only execute commands given by the political leader, they also give advices and opinions to the leader as the basis of the country's military decisions. If PLA has many mid-level young officers who are ignorant and yet arrogant, it is very likely these people will trigger yet another global war. That is certainly not the things that most Americans would like to see.
