I like the hardware. Apple is the only company whose hardware always beats Japanese.

Software? I do not know. It says the web browser Safari is a full version. But I do not know if it supports chinese pages. On the other side, many chinese web pages are so disgusting with soooooo many pop-ups, cookies, spyware, etc. In MS Windows, I have to load a lot of stuff to prevent those things. I do not know if Safari is safe even if it supports chinese.

It needs wifi for e-mail and others such as Google Map. It is almost useless when you are out of a wifi building.

You can use AT&T to go online. First, it is very expensive with AT&T/Cingular data plan. Second, iPhone does not support 3G. I have a new AT&T 3G phone. It is really fast.

I think it is the best iPOD in terms of music and video player.

I have to see how good the 2M camera is. Nobody has talked about it yet.

Big negative: the battery is sealed. Any battery, no matter how good it is, will run out in 1-2 years. Another is no memory card. I think it is less important or significant because a 2GB memory card won't change a big picture of its own 4GB/8GB internal memory.
