Even PingPong (table tennis) Deng can get a Ph.D. degree from Cambridge with a crap paper like "On the Olympic's economic impact on China".

One thing I know is UK's Ph.D. students are not required to take doctoral level degree course --- you think this would possibly give them a quality academic training?
