He actually took part of the Islamic beliefs and added into Christian/Jews beliefs. Although it wasn't clearly stated in Qur'an, the test of Ibrahim (Arabic form of Abraham) was recorded, and Muslim believe the son mentioned there is Ishmael rather than Isaac.
