Many of the countries in the disaster area are
traditionally adverse to communist governments, esp
China.
Several of them have declined some of the aids from
China. For example, US navy vessels may be welcome
to many of the countries, but any humanity aid
transported by or related to Chinese military would
not be treated the same.
