Even if one does not need much hydration and electrolytes supplements (water without electrolytes
can lead to hyponatremia), one need to take in calories too. This come from either sport drinks or energy gels plus water or both. So I took a lot of liquids. I think I overdid it but could not help it.
I took a small of cup of beer too. It was a tradition
of this marathon I run that at one place people from a
nearby tavern offer beers.
