Gravity in general relativity is treated as space-curvature induced by the presence of mass. Which is different from other fundamental forces like electromagnetic, strong and weak interactive forces. When the space curves in to the mass, matter move along the space tend to move in straight line along the space, because that is the path of minimum energy.
