Just kidding, I think China should develop its own space program. However, the only thing I concern is that it lacks of different voice. Typical government funded space programs in the US are evaluated by the Congress. Sometime, the Congress does make stupid decision hindering important programs. On the other hand, it provides a different voice that helps in controlling government spending.
