Delhi has suffered from a plague of monkeys for years, and they have claimed their first high-profile victim - SS Bajwa suffered serious head injuries after falling from the first-floor terrace of his home while trying to fight off the primates.
Culling the animals is seen as unacceptable by Hindus, some of whom excascerbate the problem by feeding them bananas and nuts. Last year an old-lady-and-the-fly attempt to address the problem, by letting larger, more ferocious, monkeys roam the streets, failed.
