回答: According to the documentary, he just couldn't understand 由 广东南蛮 于 2007-07-31, 06:29:01:

it's understandable because he

(1) his naive positivist philosophy on "reality"- he never figured out the real meaning of what Bohr said "physics cannot say more beyond observables".
(2) he never understood matrix algebra
(3) he never felt comfortable about the "intrinsic" properties of elementary particles such as spin.
(4) he never had time and energy on reading research papers-he had too many private conflicts (with family members), too many "public activities", too many political missions, ....
(5) he was treated like a semi-god and he insisted to be treated like that which made any scientific communication or discussions with colleagues impossible. For instance, once he was informed that his manuscript submitted to Physical Review had really been sent to a referee, he instantly withdrew the manuscript and never submitted a single paper to that journal.
